So, tadaa~ This was the native Sarawak bird I was talking about in the earlier post.
This class is "Malaysian Studies", if you are wondering, on the topic of an ethnic race called Sarawak Malay. This idea of presentation style was inspired by this presentation from Disney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slk4zzrT6zU . It's pretty entertaining as it's different than the normal kind of speech you'd see. So, the talking to the animated characters on screen part served as the basis of our presentation here.
It went for months because we were juggling between college assignments and due to many technical limitations, especially our knowledge on animation. First 2 months we spent was on pencil tests, and learning on lip-syncing tutorials on the net. Basically, that left us 2 remaining months or rather 8 weeks of the semester.
Most of the scenes were cut off due to time constraints. My mistakes for not being able to make early and impactful decisions on the presentation. No preparation was done before so I had to bring my script out as it required precise timing to respond to the animation.
Looks rough overall but still kinda proud of it : ).
Here it is.
Presentation
Unfinished & deleted animated scenes
Still, I have to thank my group mates for their effort and coordination on this project and animation in order to make this happen. I hope we'll do a better one next time.
